[37]***Outstanding "Run and Gun" type game with quite a bit of exploring. The Amiga version has the same good playability as the original C64 version. And with better graphics and a brilliant soundtrack nothing could go wrong with this game. In my opinion Turrican (together with its even better sequel) represents the pinnacle of Amiga gaming at a time when the Amiga was at its height of popularity.

[52]***Morgul, the three-headed incarnation of evil, has finally been destroyed! But you, Turrican, cannot rest because your most dangerous and most noble mission is yet to commence...

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, brave rebellious fighters destroyed the menacing hordes of the MACHINE and it's tyranny-spreading satellite, which circled the planet of the brave, the planet called Landorin.

The evil moon has gone, but Landorin wasn't free. The MACHINE still ruled the surface of the planet. The Landorins retreated to the inner core of their world to await their destiny... DEATH. The machines and mutants, however, went on to roam through the deserted ruins of a long-lost paradise in search of the entrance to the secret caves.

Before, the Landorins retreated, they managed to send a desperate cry for help: A last radio signal floats through the endless reaches of the tri-solar system and off to the farthest reaches of the universe. The cry is heard, and a man has to be found...
A man with the courage to face the hordes, a man to free the last survivors of Landorin, a man on his most dangerous adventure... TURRICAN.

Go out to seek the MACHINE and its' slaves, collect the weapons and ships of an ancient civilization and free the planet Landorin forever!***One of the best shooters for Amiga, fast, coloful and very, very playable.

Although it'is most commonly regarded as an Amiga release. Many forget that this title was also available on the Atari ST, PC, Commodore 64, Amstrad and Sinclair Spectrum.

Turrican 3  Renegade Software;Rainbow Arts (Factor 5)1993rasterThe Story so far...
You are on a United Planets Freedom Forces mission when suddenly you see your worst nightmares come true...again.
Years ago you were the only survivor of the starship Avalon 1, when the evil "Machine" took out your comrades in an attempt to take over the galaxy.
All those years ago, you sought revenge and finally destroyed your enemy. Nobody expected a return of the dark forces, but...Old memories come flooding back, when you hear the last message of a beautiful girl. Desperately she cries for help, as her planet is taken over by the soldiers of the "Machine". Once again as Bren McGuire, you are the leader of the Freedom Forces in a crucial mission to destroy the grasp of evil for eternity.

The Freedom Forces fighters use the newest weapon technology available: The Turrican assault suits.

Equipped with multiple weapon capabilities and the mighty Plasma Rope to reach even deeply hidden areas, the Turrican assault suit gives one man the abilities of a whole army.

You have to find your way through 15 increasingly bigger levels, first to the bio-mech laboratories of The Machine and later the deep dungeons of the Alien Queen until you're able to confront your arch-enemy.
Don't hesitate to use all powers given to you...
The challenge awaits!***
